Canarie Unjanqui: SR Colmar Sign French-Senegalese Defender on Free Transfer
SR Colmar have signed centre-back Canarie Unjanqui from Jura Dolois on a free transfer, completing a deal for the 27-year-old French-Senegalese defender ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Unjanqui, born in Paris on 28 April 1999, joins the Colmar club after three years in the Jura Dolois back line. Standing at 1.90m and operating primarily as a central defender, he adds height and experience to Colmars defensive options.
The move continues an upward trajectory through the French game for Unjanqui, who previously played for US Chauvigny and Auch Football before his spell at Jura Dolois. He moved from Auch to Chauvigny in 2021 and then to Jura Dolois in July 2023, establishing himself in senior football across the French pyramid.
Unjanquis career has been entirely based in France, reflecting both his French roots and Senegalese heritage. His versatility as a specialist centre-back fits Colmars need for defensive reinforcement, while the free-transfer nature of the deal offers the club added value in the market.
The defender arrives at SR Colmar with immediate effect following the completion of his switch from Jura Dolois.
