Yanis Cimignani: QPR linked with move for FC Lugano winger

France and Burkina Faso midfielder Yanis Cimignani, currently at FC Lugano, has been linked with a move to Championship side QPR.

The 24-year-old left-sided midfielder is valued at 2m and has been with Lugano since 2023, when he joined from French club AC Ajaccio. His form in Switzerlands Super League has kept his market valuation stable in recent months, with his latest assessment again set at 2m in June 2026.

Cimignani, a left-footer who stands at 1.76m, has primarily operated on the left of midfield for Lugano, offering width and balance. Born in Lyon and eligible for both France and Burkina Faso, he represents Lugano at club level and has not been listed with a senior national team.

Before moving to Switzerland, Cimignani progressed through Ajaccios ranks, stepping up from the clubs U17 side and B team to the first team in 2020 and increasing his market value steadily during his time in Ligue 2 and Ligue 1. His switch to Lugano in 2023 coincided with another rise in valuation as he adapted to a new league.

There is no indication of an agreed fee or advanced negotiations between Lugano and QPR, and the interest remains at rumour stage, with the player still on the books of the Swiss Super League club.
