Tyrique George: Everton Sign 21m Winger from Chelsea in Permanent Deal
Everton have completed the permanent signing of winger Tyrique George from Chelsea in a deal worth 21m. The 20-year-old left-sided attacker joins the Merseyside club after a successful loan spell last season, remaining in the Premier League as he makes the move from Stamford Bridge to Goodison Park.
George, a right-footed left winger born in London, initially arrived at Everton on loan from Chelsea on 2 February 2026. He returned to his parent club at the end of that temporary spell on 30 June before Everton moved quickly to secure him on a full transfer dated 6 July 2026. He is currently valued at 20m, underlining the scale of Evertons investment to turn the deal into a long-term arrangement.
The move marks the latest step in a rapid rise for George, who has represented both England and Nigeria at nationality level and stands at 1.81m. Having come through Chelseas youth system, he progressed from the clubs youth ranks to the U18s in 2022, then to the U21s in 2024, before being promoted to the first team later that year.
His market value climbed sharply during his breakthrough period at Chelsea, increasing from 1m in February 2025 to 22m by December of the same year, reflecting his growing status. By June 2026, while on loan at Everton, his valuation stood at 20m, aligning closely with the fee now paid to bring him in permanently.
George now becomes an Everton FC player on a full-time basis after previously impressing during his loan spell in the same league and at the same club.
