Tim Iroegbunam: Everton and England-Nigeria midfielder linked with Galatasaray move

Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam is being linked with a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray as the Super Lig club assess options to strengthen their midfield.

The 23-year-old central midfielder, who is eligible for both England and Nigeria, currently plays in the Premier League for Everton and is valued at 18m. His stock has risen steadily since joining the Merseyside club, with his market value increasing over the past two seasons.

Iroegbunam, a right-footed central midfielder standing at 1.83m, has built a reputation as a modern midfield option capable of operating in the centre of the pitch. A move to Istanbul would represent a switch from English football to the Turkish Super Lig for the first time in his career.

The Birmingham-born player signed for Everton from Aston Villa ahead of the 2024/25 season, having previously gained senior experience on loan at Queens Park Rangers in the Championship. His development at Everton has been reflected in a series of market value rises since his arrival.

Before establishing himself in the Premier League, Iroegbunam progressed through Aston Villas set-up after joining from West Bromwich Albions youth ranks in 2021. That pathway through two Midlands clubs has underpinned his rise to top-flight level and now drawn attention from abroad.

No agreement has been reached between Everton and Galatasaray, and the discussions are currently reported only as a rumoured interest in the midfielder.
