Wisdom Amey: Frosinone linked with move for Bologna defender

Italy-Togo defender Wisdom Amey of Bologna is being linked with a move to Serie A rivals Frosinone as the newly returned centre-back assesses his next step.

The 20-year-old, who stands at 1.82m and is primarily a right-footed centre-back, has just come back to Bologna following a loan spell with US Pianese and is again attracting attention in the Italian top flight.

Ameys stock has risen sharply in recent months, with his estimated market value climbing to 800,000 in June 2026 after a strong spell at Pianese, having previously dipped as low as 300,000 during the 202526 campaign.

Born in Bassano del Grappa and eligible for both Italy and Togo, Amey has spent the majority of his development within the Bologna system, progressing through their youth, Under-17 and Primavera sides before breaking into the senior picture.

His most recent move saw him return to Bologna from Pianese at the end of his loan in June 2026, putting his future under discussion as Frosinone explore defensive reinforcements ahead of the new season.

No agreement has been reached between Bologna and Frosinone, and the rumoured transfer remains at an early stage.
