Yassine Bouchama: German-Moroccan free agent linked with move to RW Essen from Preuen Munster

German-Moroccan midfielder Yassine Bouchama, currently unattached after leaving Preuen Munster, is being linked with a move to 3. Liga side Rot-Weiss Essen.

The 29-year-old central midfielder, who is comfortable with both feet and stands at 1.84m, recently became a free agent following his departure from Munster at the start of the 2026/27 season, raising the prospect of a switch to Essen without a transfer fee.

Bouchama enjoyed a notable rise in his valuation during his time at Preuen Munster, where his estimated market value increased steadily to 500,000 by June 2026, underlining his status as an established performer at 3. Liga level.

Born in Essen and holding both German and Moroccan nationality, a move to RW Essen would represent a return to his home city and keep him in a division he knows well, with both his former club Preuen Munster and the potential destination competing in Germanys third tier.

Before joining Munster in 2022, Bouchama gained experience across the German lower leagues with VfB Homberg, 1. FC Phonix Lubeck, SV Straelen and FC Kray, building a profile as a consistent central midfield option.

For now, Bouchama remains without a club, with RW Essen monitoring his situation as a possible free-transfer addition ahead of the new campaign.
