Mohamed Sankoh: Randers FC sign Dutch-Sierra Leone forward from Stuttgart II

Randers FC have completed the signing of centre-forward Mohamed Sankoh from VfB Stuttgart II in a permanent deal for the 2026-27 season. The 22-year-old leaves the German clubs reserve side to join the Danish Superliga outfit, with his current market value listed at 400,000.

Sankoh, a right-footed striker born in Rijswijk, stands at 1.83m and represents both the Netherlands and Sierra Leone at nationality level. He arrives in Denmark after a long association with Stuttgart, where he moved through the youth, reserve and first-team structures and spent multiple spells out on loan to gain senior experience.

The move to Randers follows an 18-month period in which Sankoh shuttled between Stuttgarts senior side and Stuttgart II, including a loan stint at Italian club Cosenza Calcio in the 2024-25 season. Prior to that, he featured in the Dutch Eredivisie with Heracles Almelo on loan in 2023-24 and gained experience in the Netherlands with Vitesse Arnhem during the 2022-23 campaign.

Sankohs market value has fluctuated since he first emerged at Stuttgart, peaking at around 1 million as a teenager with the Bundesliga club before settling at 400,000 in May 2026 during his time with Stuttgart II. His move to Randers marks his first permanent transfer away from the Stuttgart system since he arrived there as a youth player in 2020.

Having come through the youth ranks at Sparta Rotterdam before spells with Stoke Citys academy and then Stuttgarts under-19 side, Sankoh now makes a full-time switch to Scandinavian football with Randers FC in the Danish Superliga.
