Alpha Toure: Al-Diriyah interested in FC Metzs Senegal midfielder in Saudi Pro League move

Al-Diriyah are being linked with a move for Senegal defensive midfielder Alpha Toure, who currently plays for FC Metz in France.

The Saudi Pro League club are monitoring the 20-year-old left-footed midfielder as they look to strengthen in the middle of the pitch. Toures current market value is listed at 5m, reflecting his rapid rise over the past two seasons.

Toure joined Metz from Senegalese side AS Academie Generation Foot in July 2024, continuing the well-established pathway between the two clubs. He previously came through the ranks at Generation Foots U20 team before stepping up to the senior Senegalese side.

Since arriving in France, Toure has developed into a specialist defensive midfielder, standing at 1.80m and operating primarily in front of the back line. His progress has coincided with Metzs campaign in Ligue 2, where he has been part of a squad competing in French professional football.

The midfielders market value has climbed sharply during his time at Metz, rising from 200,000 in late 2024 to 5m by March 2026, underlining the level of attention he is beginning to attract. That valuation has remained stable into June 2026.

Toure was born in Kaolack, Senegal, in January 2006 and represents Senegalese nationality, adding to the growing number of young Senegalese players being targeted by clubs in the Gulf region. He wears the number 12 shirt at Metz and is regarded as a long-term prospect in his position.

There is currently no agreement in place between Metz and Al-Diriyah, and the Senegal midfielder remains under contract with the French club as the rumour stands.
