Everton F.C. have agreed a deal worth up to £24 million to sign winger Tyrique George from Chelsea F.C., rewarding the youngster’s impressive performances during his loan spell at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The agreement includes an initial payment of £18 million, with a further £6 million tied to performance-related bonuses such as appearances and European qualification. Chelsea have also negotiated a 15% sell-on clause as part of the transfer, ensuring they retain a financial interest in the winger’s future.

George is now expected to undergo a medical before finalising personal terms, with the move set to become one of Everton’s key pieces of summer business.

Loan spell convinced Moyes

The 20-year-old made a strong impression after arriving on loan during the second half of last season, quickly establishing himself as a valuable option in David Moyes’ squad.

George featured in 11 matches and earned widespread praise from the Everton manager, whose admiration extended beyond the winger’s performances on the pitch to his professionalism and commitment behind the scenes.

His displays convinced the Merseyside club to pursue a permanent transfer, with negotiations eventually resulting in an agreement that satisfies both clubs.

Everton continue squad rebuild

George is poised to become Everton’s second signing of the summer as Moyes continues reshaping his squad ahead of the new campaign.

The winger follows the arrival of Hayden Hackney, while the club have also converted Merlin Röhl’s loan move into a permanent deal after the midfielder impressed during his time at Everton.

With George adding pace, creativity and youthful energy to the squad, Everton are strengthening key attacking areas as they look to build on last season and push further up the table.

The move also represents another significant opportunity for George, who now has the chance to establish himself as a regular Premier League starter after progressing through Chelsea’s academy and making the most of his loan opportunity at Everton.
