Leandro Andrade: Karpaty Lviv eye Qarabağ’s Cape Verde‑Portugal winger in €3.5m move rumour

Karpaty Lviv are being linked with a move for Cape Verde and Portugal‑eligible right winger Leandro Andrade, 26, who currently plays for Qarabağ in Azerbaijan’s Premyer Liqa.

The Ukrainian Premier Liga side are reported to be monitoring Andrade, whose Transfermarkt valuation stands at €3.50m, as they look to add pace and one‑v‑one quality in wide areas. The move remains at rumour stage, with the reported probability of a deal described as “?” and no indication yet of an agreed fee or personal terms.

Andrade’s contractual situation at Qarabağ is unclear, with no public expiry date listed. That has fuelled suggestions that the Azerbaijani champions could be vulnerable to losing the winger below market value, or that he could run down his deal and leave as a free agent if no agreement on an extension is reached.

Born in Tavira on 24 September 1999 and standing at 1.76m, Andrade operates primarily as an attacking right winger and prefers his right foot. Shirt number 15 at Qarabağ, he has built a reputation for direct running and versatility across the front line, attributes that would appeal to a Karpaty side seeking to consolidate themselves in Ukraine’s top flight.

In his most recent outing for Qarabağ, Andrade featured on the right flank in a league match against domestic rivals on 28 June 2026 in the Premyer Liqa, contributing with his off‑the‑ball work and wide threat in a tightly contested scoreline, although he did not get on the scoresheet.

With dual Cape Verdean and Portuguese nationality and experience in European competition with Qarabağ, a switch to Karpaty Lviv would mark another step in Andrade’s continental journey – and, if it materialises, could be a pivotal move in shaping the next phase of his career and profile on the broader European stage.
