Adetunji Rasaq Adeshina: LASK’s Nigerian midfielder linked with Slaven Belupo move

Nigerian defensive midfielder Adetunji Rasaq Adeshina is being linked with a switch from Austrian side LASK to Croatian top-flight club Slaven Belupo.

The 21-year-old, who plays primarily as a holding midfielder, is currently valued at €350,000, with reports in Austria and Croatia noting interest from Slaven Belupo as they look to bolster their SuperSport HNL squad. Transfermarkt lists no expiry date on Adeshina’s deal at LASK, and there is no indication yet whether he could become a free agent or leave on a permanent transfer, with the probability of a move still officially rated as “?” in the latest update on 26 June 2026.

Standing at 1.80m and right-footed, Adeshina wears the number 13 shirt for LASK and is regarded as a specialist in the defensive midfield role. Born on 2 December 2004, he is listed with Nigerian nationality only, and there are no senior international caps recorded for him so far.

The former youth prospect has been developing his game in the Austrian Bundesliga, with LASK using him predominantly at the base of midfield to screen the back line and recycle possession. Detailed contract terms, including the date he joined the Linz-based club and the length of his current deal, are not publicly available, adding to speculation that Slaven Belupo could attempt to negotiate a low-cost move in line with his €350k valuation.

No fee, contract length or structure for a potential deal with Slaven Belupo has yet been reported, and talks have not been described as advanced. But if the Croatian club firm up their interest, a transfer to the SuperSport HNL could offer Adeshina a fresh platform in a new league and an important next step in shaping his reputation in European football.
