Fiorentina eye loan move for Johan Bakayoko
AC Fiorentina have set their sights on RB Leipzig winger Johan Bakayoko, with the Italian club exploring a potential loan move for the Belgian this summer.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Serie A side has identified the 23-year-old as a candidate to strengthen their attack and is assessing whether a temporary deal would be feasible.
Leipzig, however, may not be easy to convince. Reports in Germany recently indicated that the Bundesliga club still plan with Bakayoko despite his mixed first season and are not actively looking to part ways with him. The former PSV Eindhoven talent arrived last summer and initially impressed, but his influence faded as the campaign wore on and he was increasingly used from the bench.
Across all competitions, Bakayoko made 22 appearances and scored three goals, numbers that underline both his potential and the room for growth still ahead of him. Given that background, it remains uncertain whether Leipzig will agree to a loan that could leave them short on the wings.
For now, Fiorentina’s interest is real, but whether it turns into concrete negotiations and a move to Florence is still an open question.
