Real Madrid join race for Morocco teenager Ayyoub Bouaddi
Ayyoub Bouaddi has emerged as one of the most talked-about young talents at the 2026 World Cup, with Real Madrid among the clubs closely monitoring the Moroccan midfielder’s progress.
The 18-year-old has attracted attention from several of Europe’s biggest teams following his performances with the Moroccan national team, with scouts increasingly impressed by his maturity and ability on the international stage.
According to German journalist Patrick Berger, speaking to Sky Sport, Lille are prepared to listen to offers for Bouaddi but would only consider proposals starting at around €70 million.
The French club’s valuation reflects the rapid development of the young midfielder and the growing interest surrounding him after his displays at the World Cup.
Real Madrid are currently viewed as one of the leading contenders in the race for his signature. Representatives from the Spanish giants, including recruitment chief Juni Calafat, are reported to have watched Bouaddi closely during Morocco’s match against Brazil.
Within the Madrid hierarchy, the teenager is considered one of the most exciting prospects of his generation.
Lille president Olivier Létang has already made it clear that the club will not accept a low offer for their highly rated player.
“50 million euros isn’t enough… We need an exceptional offer,” he recently told RMC Sport.
Bouaddi remains under contract with Lille until June 2029, giving the French club a strong position in any potential negotiations.
However, Real Madrid are not the only major European side interested. Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are also reportedly keeping a close watch on the Moroccan international.
The midfielder’s rise has been one of the notable stories surrounding Morocco’s World Cup campaign, with his performances increasing his reputation among clubs searching for the next generation of elite players.
For now, Lille remain focused on protecting the value of their young star, while Europe’s biggest clubs continue to monitor whether Bouaddi could become the next major name to emerge from the Moroccan national team.
