Felipe Santos: Bangkok United linked with move for Benin-Brazil winger

Benin-Brazil left winger Felipe Santos of Azerbaijani side Araz-Nakhchivan is being linked with a switch to Thai League contenders Bangkok United.

The 29-year-old, who holds both Benin and Brazilian nationality, is currently valued at €1.40m and plays as a right-footed left winger for Araz-Nakhchivan in the Premyer Liqa. According to data from Transfermarkt, the rumoured move to Bangkok United was logged on 21 June 2026, with the probability of a transfer still listed as “?” and no agreement yet in place.

Santos, who wears the number 10 shirt, has no publicly listed contract expiry date with the Azerbaijani club, fuelling suggestions he could become a free agent if his current deal has quietly run down or is allowed to lapse. That uncertainty has intensified speculation that Bangkok United may be positioning themselves to secure him on a free transfer rather than pay close to his market valuation.

Born in São Paulo on 3 January 1997 and standing at 1.79m, Santos has built a career operating mainly on the left flank in attack, cutting inside onto his stronger right foot. His current market value of €1.40m reflects his status as one of Araz-Nakhchivan’s more prominent attacking options in the Azerbaijani top flight.

Recent performances for Araz-Nakhchivan in the Premyer Liqa have kept him on scouting radars, although precise recent match details – opponent, date, scoreline and his individual contribution – have not been made public in the available data.

With no confirmed contract end date and interest from Asia emerging, the coming weeks could prove decisive. A move to Bangkok United would offer Santos a new platform in a growing league and could yet define the next phase of his career if the transfer speculation turns into a concrete deal.
