Nathan Tella flourishing at Leverkusen as Hjulmand praises development

Nathan Tella has made an impressive return to action for Bayer Leverkusen following his injury layoff.

The 26-year-old winger has been in excellent form recently, playing a decisive role in the 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig with a goal and an assist.

Head coach Kasper Hjulmand praised his attacking player’s development after the match. Tella has found his way back strongly after two major injuries and is now bringing important qualities to Leverkusen’s game. According to Hjulmand, his runs in behind make the left side difficult to defend.

“He gives us a lot of energy and quality overall, especially in depth,” Hjulmand explained, also highlighting the positive impact Tella brings off the pitch.

Leverkusen face Stuttgart next in a crucial clash, with both teams level on 58 points. Bayer currently occupy fourth place due to superior goal difference, making this fixture vital in the Champions League race. If Tella maintains his current form, he should play a central role.
