Zamalek plan fan travel package for Confederation Cup final against USM Alger

Zamalek have unveiled plans to mobilize their supporters for the crucial CAF Confederation Cup final showdown against USM Alger.

The Egyptian outfit will travel to face USM Alger in Algeria in the first leg clash before the return fixture in Cairo.

Ahead of the clash, Zamalek have decided to organize special travel packages for fans eager to attend the first-leg clash in Algeria, scheduled for May 9.

The initiative is designed to ensure strong backing for the team in hostile territory as they aim to take an advantage into the return leg.

The trip will be arranged on the same day as the match and offered at a reasonable cost. The package will cover visa arrangements, flight tickets, and matchday entry—removing logistical hurdles for supporters. In a further boost, Zamalek revealed that fans will not be required to pay upfront, with the total cost available in interest-free installments over 12 months.

The move underscores the club’s determination to create a strong presence in the stands for what promises to be a fiercely contested final.

Zamalek booked their place in the final after edging past CR Belouizdad in the semi-finals. A disciplined goalless draw in the second leg was enough to see them through, thanks to their 1-0 victory in the first leg.

Meanwhile, USM Alger secured their spot after a 1-1 draw against Olympique Safi, advancing on away goals. The Algerian side will be confident, having lifted the title in the 2022–2023 season with victory over Young Africans.

Zamalek, however, boast a strong pedigree in the competition. The Cairo club have reached the final multiple times in recent years and emerged victorious in both 2019 and 2023, defeating Renaissance Berkane on each occasion.

This year’s final will follow a two-legged format, with the return fixture set for May 16 at Cairo International Stadium—where Zamalek will hope to capitalize on home support.

With travel plans now in place, anticipation is building among the White Knights faithful, who will be eager to play their part as the club chases yet another continental crown.
