South African midfielder Yusuf Maart is being linked with a move from SV Ried to Romanian side FC Dinamo amid uncertainty over his contract situation in Austria.
The 30-year-old central midfielder, currently valued at €600k on Transfermarkt, is reported to be on Dinamo’s radar as they assess low-cost midfield options for the Romanian SuperLiga. The latest update on the rumour, recorded on 20 April 2026, lists the probability of the transfer as “?”, underlining that negotiations – if any – are still at a speculative stage.
Maart’s deal at SV Ried has not been publicly clarified, with no contract expiry date registered, fuelling talk that he could become a free agent if his terms are not renewed. That status would make any switch to Dinamo particularly attractive, given the reduced financial outlay compared with a permanent transfer at his current estimated market value.
The Cape Town-born midfielder, who wears the number 6 shirt for Ried, operates primarily as a central midfielder and is right-footed. Standing at 1.70m, he has built a reputation as a technically tidy presence in the middle of the park. Maart’s nationality is listed solely as South African, and he has developed his career in Europe with the Austrian club after emerging from his homeland.
Ried compete in the Austrian Bundesliga, while FC Dinamo – based in Romania – play in the SuperLiga, meaning any move would keep Maart in top-flight European football. There is no indication yet of an agreed fee or pre-contract, and no suggestion that the transfer is close.
If a deal materialises, a switch to Bucharest could offer Maart a fresh platform in another competitive league and a chance to enhance his reputation in Eastern European football at a key stage of his career.
