Ukraine and Angola are reportedly in discussions over a potential international friendly scheduled for the upcoming June international break, in what could serve as a valuable test for both national teams.

According to emerging reports, the Ukrainian national team is considering a meeting with Angola’s senior side, the Palancas Negras, as part of their mid-year preparations.

While the fixture has not yet been officially confirmed, it is understood that both football associations are exploring the possibility of finalising arrangements in the coming weeks.

For Angola, the proposed match is viewed as an important step in their long-term planning as they build towards the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The Angolan technical team is keen to expose the squad to high-intensity international opposition as part of efforts to sharpen competitiveness and deepen squad depth ahead of the qualification campaign.

Ukraine, meanwhile, continues to utilise international friendlies as part of its broader rebuilding and tactical refinement process, particularly against physically strong and tactically disciplined opponents from outside Europe.

Should the fixture be confirmed, it would represent a rare meeting between the two nations on the international stage, offering both sides a useful opportunity to test combinations, assess emerging talent, and fine-tune strategies ahead of upcoming competitive fixtures.

Further details, including venue and official confirmation from both federations, are expected in due course.
