Veszprem maintained their unbeaten record in the EHF Champions League group stage with a 39-35 win over Fuchse Berlin, while Paris Saint-Germain were beaten by Dinamo Zagreb in a dramatic Group C encounter.
The Hungarian side secured victory in the fifth and penultimate round of the group stage to move on to 10 points. Fuchse Berlin remain second in Group A on six points.
Four Egyptian players featured for Veszprem: Yahia El-Deraa, Ali Zein, Ahmed Hesham Dodo and Ahmed Adel Dola.
Dodo scored five goals, while El-Deraa contributed three and Zein added one. Dola played but did not find the net.
Group A also includes Portuguese club Porto and Serbian side Partizan. Veszprem and Fuchse Berlin have both already guaranteed their places in the main round.
The competition features 24 teams divided into six groups, with the leading two sides in each group progressing. The 12 qualifiers will then be split between two groups in the main round.
In Group C, Paris Saint-Germain suffered a narrow 29-28 defeat by Dinamo Zagreb in an entertaining contest.
Yahia Khaled scored four goals for Paris Saint-Germain, but his contribution was not enough to prevent the French club from losing to the Croatian side.
Group C also contains Aalborg and Slovenian club Celje, alongside Paris Saint-Germain and Dinamo Zagreb.
