Moroccan international Sofiane Bouftini has addressed his suspension from Al Wasl FC in the UAE, speaking publicly for the first time since the club announced disciplinary measures.

Taking to Instagram, Bouftini emphasised his commitment both as a professional athlete and as a person aware of his responsibilities.

“Throughout my career, there has never been a single day when I disrespected the fans of the clubs whose jerseys I wore,” Bouftini said.

He added, “I did not do anything to offend the fans or the club, but rather I gave all my effort and spared no effort for this jersey.”

The UAE club had suspended Bouftini, alongside teammate Khaled Al-Sinani, from first-team activities pending the completion of disciplinary procedures.

Al Wasl FC confirmed the decision in a statement on Facebook, noting that the suspension is in line with internal regulations and will remain in effect until the procedures are finalised.

Soufiane Bouftini after stressing his committment to the club, will be hoping to return from suspension as soon as possible to help the club in the upcoming matches.
