Moroccan winger Osame Sahraoui returns to Lille after injury setback
Moroccan winger Osame Sahraoui has made his long-awaited return to full training with LOSC Lille after spending close to three months on the sidelines due to injury.
The club shared a video on X on Friday capturing the moment Sahraoui rejoined his teammates, who welcomed him back with applause and a light-hearted guard of honour during group training.
Prior to his setback, the 24-year-old had been a regular figure for Lille, making 23 appearances across all competitions, contributing one goal and two assists.
Sahraoui’s struggles began with persistent pubis pain in early 2025, an issue that lingered despite ongoing medical treatment and rest periods. The condition eventually worsened, leaving surgery as the only viable option and forcing him out of action in January 2026.
His recovery kept him out for nearly three months, during which he missed 15 matches while undergoing an intensive rehabilitation programme.
Lille, who are currently pushing for a strong finish in Ligue 1, sit fifth on the table with 47 points from 27 matches.
Sahraoui’s return comes at a crucial moment, providing a timely lift as the team chase a top-four finish and a place in the UEFA Champions League.
