Inter lose Yann Bisseck ahead of Roma showdown

Inter Milan have confirmed that defender Yann Bisseck will miss the upcoming Serie A clash with Roma after picking up an injury on international duty.

Tests showed a mild strain in the flexor muscles of his right thigh, ruling him out of the squad for the trip.

The problem is described as minor, but Inter are taking no risks as they enter a decisive stretch in the title race. Bisseck has grown into a regular starter this season, so his absence is a setback for head coach Cristian Chivu as he prepares his backline for one of the club’s most important fixtures of the campaign.

The medical staff will monitor Bisseck’s recovery over the coming days before deciding when he can rejoin the group.

Inter currently sit top of Serie A and are keen to keep their momentum, making the away game against Roma a significant test of the squad’s depth and resilience.

Bisseck has played 19 games, scored two goals and assisted one in the Serie A this season.
