I am focused on giving my best – Wydad star Ramiro Vaca
Ramiro Vaca has shared his excitement over joining Wydad, describing the move as a chance to hit reset after a challenging period in his career.
The Bolivian international, who recently completed his transfer to the Moroccan giants, is quickly finding his footing both on and off the field.
Speaking from Bolivia’s national team camp in Mexico, Vaca opened up about his mindset and renewed motivation.
“I am very happy, I feel free, and I enjoy every moment with my new team. The past months were very difficult, but now I am focused on giving my best with Wydad and the national team,” he said.
After a difficult spell last season, marked by suspensions and lost rhythm, Vaca is now ready for a fresh start.
In May 2025, CONMEBOL suspended the midfielder after he tested positive for the banned substance Ostarine following a Copa Libertadores match against Sporting Cristal.
Since joining Wydad Athletic Club in early 2026, Vaca has settled quickly. His seamless adaptation and creative style have already begun to energize the squad, as the team aims for domestic and continental success.
Vaca also highlighted his preparation with Bolivia’s national team, emphasizing the work he’s putting in to study opponents ahead of upcoming fixtures.
“I watched videos and analysis of the opponent, and I will try to give my best on the pitch,” he explained.
Looking beyond club football, Vaca expressed his ambitions to help Bolivia qualify for major tournaments, describing his new chapter as a source of renewed drive and determination, both for Wydad and his national team.
