Liam Rosenior reveals Chelsea have uncovered dressing room “mole” after leaks
Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has confirmed the club has identified the source of recent team news leaks, drawing a line under a disruptive episode that overshadowed their crucial UEFA Champions League ties.
The Blues were left frustrated after their starting line-ups were circulated in the media hours before both legs of their clash with Paris Saint-Germain, raising concerns about internal confidentiality at a critical stage of the season. The situation prompted immediate action from the club, with Rosenior previously indicating that an internal investigation would be launched following the defeat at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League fixture against Everton, the manager disclosed that the issue has now been resolved internally.
“We know (who it was),” Rosenior said.
While the breach could have been viewed as a serious act of sabotage, Rosenior was quick to downplay any suggestion of ill intent, stressing that the matter has been handled without escalating tensions within the squad.
“It’s not come from any place of malicious intent to me or the team. We’ve dealt with the situation.”
The revelation brings a degree of closure to a controversy that threatened to derail Chelsea’s focus during a demanding run of fixtures. Leaked team selections can offer opponents a tactical advantage, particularly at the elite level, making the timing of the incidents especially concerning given the stakes of European competition.
Despite the off-field distraction, attention now shifts back to Chelsea’s push for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
