Louey Ben Farhat: Karlsruher SC second striker linked with Atalanta move in Italy transfer rumours

Atalanta are reported to be monitoring Karlsruher SC forward Louey Ben Farhat as the Italian club assess a move for the highly rated teenager.

The 19-year-old second striker, who holds both Tunisian and German nationality, has emerged as one of Karlsruher’s brightest prospects and is currently valued at €3.00m, according to figures last updated in December 2025. The reported probability of a deal remains unclear, with the move listed only as “?” at this stage.

Ben Farhat, born on 19 July 2006 in Waiblingen and standing at 1.75m, has risen quickly through the German club’s youth structure. He progressed from FSV Waiblingen’s youth set-up to Stuttgarter Kickers Youth in 2021, before joining Karlsruher SC’s U17 side in 2022 and then stepping up to the U19s a year later. He was promoted to Karlsruher SC’s first team on 1 January 2025.

The attacker, who is right-footed and primarily operates as a second striker, has seen his market value grow sharply over the past year. It climbed from €300,000 in February 2025 to €500,000 in March and then jumped to €3m by June, where it has remained. Such a rapid rise has inevitably drawn attention from clubs in higher-profile leagues, with Atalanta now linked from Serie A.

Ben Farhat currently plays in Germany’s 2. Bundesliga with Karlsruher SC and there is no publicly listed contract expiry date, leaving open the possibility that he could become a free agent in future if fresh terms are not agreed. For now, the rumour remains at an early stage, but a move to Bergamo would represent a major step up and could prove pivotal in shaping his development and profile on the European stage if it materialises.
