Nicolas Anelka backs Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappe to lead next Clasico era

Nicolas Anelka believes Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappe are poised to carry the Barcelona–Real Madrid rivalry into a new generation.

Speaking about the young Spaniard, Anelka underlined just how special he already looks for both club and country.

“He Lamine is one of the greatest talents in Europe and the world. As much as Mbappe, I think they are the two best,” Anelka said, putting the 18-year-old Barcelona winger on the same pedestal as Real Madrid’s French superstar.

He also pointed out that their growing international profiles, with Yamal representing Spain and Mbappe leading France, will only intensify the spotlight on their duels.

“Especially when I was talking about France and Spain. He will play for Spain and Mbappe for France. So it’s going to be a great battle. It’s already a great battle between Barcelona and Real Madrid… and it will continue for a long time,” he added.
