Esau Mtsweni expected to join TS Galaxy technical team for Orlando Pirates clash
Esau Mtsweni is expected to be part of the TS Galaxy senior technical team when the Rockets face Orlando Pirates in the Betway Premiership this evening.
The match is scheduled to take place at the Orlando Amstel Arena, with Galaxy potentially making changes to their coaching structure as uncertainty continues over the composition of the club’s technical team.
Mtsweni has previously worked with the first team as an assistant coach and is also involved with TS Galaxy’s DStv Diski Challenge side. His anticipated presence for the meeting with Pirates would therefore mark a return to a setup he already knows.
His involvement comes while the club’s position on Bernard Parker remains unclear. Siya sources have previously indicated that the former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana striker may be considering his options after suggestions that he could be moved into an assistant coach role.
Parker’s future is part of wider uncertainty around the senior team, with TS Galaxy continuing their search for a UEFA Pro-licensed coach to take charge. The club want to appoint an experienced coach as they seek to reinforce the technical department.
Mtsweni’s expected role against Orlando Pirates reflects the Rockets’ ongoing assessment of how the first-team setup should be structured. The club are still working through their options as they attempt to establish greater stability around the senior side.
With the two teams due to meet this evening, Mtsweni’s presence could offer a clearer indication of the current coaching arrangements at TS Galaxy, although the club has yet to settle its longer-term technical structure.
