Kylian Mbappe continues knee treatment in Paris with no surgery planned

Kylian Mbappe is undergoing specialised treatment in Paris as Real Madrid and France look for the safest way to manage his left knee injury.

Sources close to the forward told AFP, via L’Equipe, that he is with medical staff for a “precise assessment of the progress” of the problem, which has bothered him since December.

For now, there are no plans for surgery, easing fears that he could face a long spell on the sidelines. Real Madrid have described the issue as a sprain in his left knee and confirmed that conservative treatment will continue while his condition is monitored day by day.

Mbappe has already missed the 2–1 Champions League win over Benfica and will also sit out Monday’s La Liga game away to Getafe. Current estimates suggest he could remain out until at least the Champions League round of 16 second leg against Manchester City on March 17, depending on how his knee responds to treatment.

The situation is being watched closely in both Madrid and Paris, with club and country anxious to have their star fully fit for the decisive months ahead.
