Saudi giants Al Ahli plots bumper offer for Nigeria and Trabzonspor forward Paul Onuachu

Saudi Pro League powerhouse Al Ahli are reportedly preparing a high-profile bid to sign Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu, aiming to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season.

Per reports, Al-Ahli are in search of a replacement for Ivan Toney, who is expected to return to Europe in the summer.

Onuachu, renowned for his height, finishing, and aerial prowess, has emerged as the club’s top target to spearhead their frontline in the Saudi Pro League.

Although Onuachu is under contract with Trabzonspor until 2028, the Saudi side are reportedly ready to test his commitment with a substantial financial incentive.
Currently earning around €48,000 per week in Turkey, a move to Al-Ahli could see his salary triple to €144,000 per week, making it a highly tempting proposition for the Super Eagles striker.

If the deal materialises, Onuachu would join a growing trend of African forwards moving to the Saudi Pro League, attracted by both competitive football and lucrative contracts.

Trabzonspor are expected to weigh the financial offer carefully, as they decide whether to retain one of their key attacking assets or allow him to depart for a record-setting wage abroad.
