Felix Nmecha’s future at Dortmund uncertain after changing agent
Germany-born midfielder of Nigerian descent, Felix Nmecha, faces an uncertain future at Borussia Dortmund following a recent change in his representation, sparking speculation about a potential transfer.
According to German outlet Bild, the 25-year-old midfielder has switched to The Talent Table agency, based in Kingston, England, which is managed by two English agents. Such a move often signals a player’s intent to explore new opportunities in the transfer market.
The Premier League reportedly appeals strongly to Nmecha, with clubs including Manchester United and Chelsea FC keeping close tabs on the German-Nigerian star for several months.
Dortmund, however, are expected to set a high asking price for Nmecha, who is under contract until the summer of 2028. The Bundesliga club paid VfL Wolfsburg €30 million for him nearly three years ago and would reportedly only consider negotiations if a bid of at least €70 million.
This season, Nmecha has been ever-present, featuring in all 35 competitive matches for Dortmund, scoring five goals and providing three assists.
His consistent performances only add to his market value, making it increasingly challenging for Dortmund to retain him long-term if Premier League interest intensifies.
The midfielder’s agent switch and sustained form suggest that the coming summer transfer window could be pivotal in determining whether Nmecha remains at Dortmund or secures a move to England’s top flight.
