Tunisian giants Esperance appoint Patrice Beaumelle as new head coach

Tunisian powerhouses Esperance have announced the appointment of Patrice Beaumelle as their new head coach.

The former Angola gaffer signed a contract that will keep him at the club until summer 2027, replacing Tunisian coach Maher Kanzari.

Esperance had been without a coach in the past few weeks after parting ways with Maher Kanzari over inconsistent results.

After a thorough search, the Tunisian giants has resolved to appoint Beaumelle, who recently parted ways with the Angola national team.

Esperance are preparing to face Al Ahly in the quarter-finals of the African Champions League next month.

Beaumelle boasts extensive experience across African football. He previously served as assistant to compatriot Hervé Renard, working with the national teams of Morocco, Zambia and Ivory Coast before stepping into head coaching roles himself.

He later managed the Ivory Coast national team, had a spell with Algerian side MC Alger, coached Umm Salal in Qatar, and most recently led Angola.
