Stellenbosch FC have completed the signing of experienced centre-back Olisah Ndah, adding steel and leadership to their defensive ranks ahead of the next phase of the season.
The Nigerian-born defender became a free agent earlier this month after parting ways with Orlando Pirates by mutual consent, bringing an end to his stay with the Soweto giants. Following his departure, Ndah was invited to train with Stellenbosch FC, where he spent over a week under close observation from the club’s technical team.
Head coach Gavin Hunt used the assessment period to evaluate the 28-year-old’s fitness, sharpness, and suitability for Stellies’ playing philosophy. Ndah impressed during the trial spell, prompting the Cape Winelands outfit to move swiftly to secure his services.
Stellenbosch FC officially confirmed the signing on Tuesday, hailing the defender’s experience and composure at the back as key attributes that will strengthen their squad. Ndah is expected to provide depth, competition, and leadership in central defence as the club continues to push its ambitions domestically and on the continental stage.
The move offers Ndah a fresh start and an opportunity to revive his career in familiar surroundings, while Stellenbosch gain a proven top-flight defender eager to make an immediate impact.
