Kylian Mbappe has been given the green light to start for Real Madrid against Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday night, easing fears over a possible injury setback.
The French star had sparked concern after spending two days working alone in the gym instead of training with his teammates, amid reports of minor knee discomfort and doubts about his availability for the crucial league game.
Those worries were put to rest when Mbappe rejoined full training with the squad earlier today and completed the session without any problems.
Head coach Alvaro Arbeloa reassured fans afterward, saying: “He’s fine. He’s trained with the group and is available for tomorrow’s match.” Club medical staff had opted for a cautious approach in recent days, carefully managing his workload following a demanding run of fixtures.
The response to that precautionary plan has been entirely positive, and Mbappe is now expected to lead the attack from the start against a Real Sociedad side currently enjoying a nine game unbeaten streak.
The France captain has been in outstanding form this season, scoring 38 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions and firmly establishing himself as Real Madrid’s standout performer and one of the most lethal forwards in Europe.
