Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi is currently ranked among the top earners at Paris Saint-Germain and the French Ligue 1.
The debate surrounding player salaries in French football continues to intensify, driven largely by the vast financial power of leading clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain.
The capital club has long justified its spending through sustained domestic dominance and regular success on the European stage, turning sporting investment into both economic and competitive rewards.
Paris Saint-Germain’s wage structure is built around individual influence and on-pitch impact, a model that has inevitably created noticeable gaps between the club’s highest earners.
Within this framework, Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi has firmly established himself as one of the most valuable figures in the squad, both from a sporting and financial standpoint.

Over recent seasons, Hakimi has become a vital component of PSG’s system thanks to his consistency, tactical intelligence and decisive contributions. His importance has been underlined whenever he has been absent, with the team often struggling to maintain the same balance and intensity without him.
According to French daily Le Parisien, Hakimi currently sits third on Paris Saint-Germain’s salary ladder, earning an estimated €1.1 million per month.
He is narrowly behind Brazilian defender Marquinhos, who reportedly earns around €1.13 million monthly, while French star Ousmane Dembélé tops the rankings with a salary of approximately €1.56 million per month following his 2025 Ballon d’Or triumph.
Hakimi’s position in the salary hierarchy reflects his growing stature at the club, particularly after playing a key role in Paris Saint-Germain’s historic UEFA Champions League victory.

That success saw PSG become only the second French club to lift the prestigious trophy after Olympique Marseille, significantly increasing the market value and financial standing of several players within the squad.
While the wage differences at PSG are striking, they also highlight the contrast between elite football earnings and the wider French economy, where the national average net monthly salary stands at just under €2,730.
Within the PSG squad, Lucas Hernandez follows the top three with earnings close to €1 million per month, while Vitinha and Warren Zaire-Emery are both reported to earn around €950,000.
Further down the scale are Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Nuno Mendes, with salaries just below the €1 million mark, while players such as Désiré Doué, Bradley Barcola and Lucas Chevalier earn in the region of €500,000 per month. Wages then gradually decline through the rest of the squad, with Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov reported to be the lowest earner on approximately €250,000 per month.
