Several members of Pyramids FC’s youth team born in 2007 were hospitalized following an elevator collapse at a hotel in Alexandria Governorate, the club confirmed on Monday.
The club’s sporting director, Hani Saeed, stated that the injured players were transferred to a hospital immediately after the incident.
Youth team coach Ehab El-Masry added that some of the players sustained serious injuries.
According to medical reports shared by Saeed, the players’ conditions are as follows:

Mohamed Attia Sayed Attia: Post-concussion, back contusion, fracture of the left forearm, left knee contusion, and left foot contusion.

Mohamed Abdel Ghani Abdel Halim: Post-concussion, fractures in the foot, ankle, and right leg.

Mohamed Yasser El-Sayed Moselhy: Post-concussion with contusion wounds.

Hamza Al-Shazly Ahmed: Post-concussion.

Mahmoud Karam Mohamed Mostafa: Post-concussion and a bruise on the left ankle.
Saeed emphasized that all players are under close medical supervision and are receiving comprehensive care, including additional CT scans.
In light of the incident, Pyramids FC has officially requested the Egyptian Football Association to postpone the youth team’s league match against Haras El Hodoud, originally scheduled for Monday.
The Egyptian Public Prosecution has launched an investigation into the elevator collapse, and the club is cooperating fully with authorities.
No further comments have been issued pending the outcome of the investigation.
