Spain international Lamine Yamal appears to have made decisive changes to his professional circle midway through the season, a move that is already being credited for his impressive rise in form with Barcelona.
Those close to the club believe the adjustments behind the scenes have helped sharpen the teenager’s focus and positively influenced his performances on the pitch.
The 18-year-old winger has recently been living up to his growing reputation, emerging as a constant attacking threat for Barça and showing greater composure in decisive moments. His latest standout contribution came in the Copa del Rey, where he produced a clinical finish in the 2-1 victory over Albacete to send Barcelona into the quarterfinals.
“There have been professional changes regarding the people who work with him. New professionals have come in and guided him in certain areas. For example, they changed how things are handled on his social media. Lamine posts much less now, and when he does, it’s about football and everything is related to Barça. They helped him understand what social media is. He focused on football and stepped back a bit from social networks,” explained Barça insider José Álvarez on El Chiringuito.

Reports from Foot Mercato suggest that Yamal has reorganised the group of people working closely with him, particularly in areas away from the pitch such as public appearances and social media activity. Spanish media outlets, including El Chiringuito TV, have also pointed to the arrival of new professionals tasked with advising and guiding the young winger during this critical phase of his career.
One of the most noticeable outcomes of this shift has been a clear reduction in Yamal’s personal presence on social media. His posts are said to be less frequent and now almost entirely focused on football and Barcelona, a conscious effort to cut out distractions and maintain a tighter professional focus.

Although neither the player nor the club has issued an official statement detailing these changes, analysts and insiders have linked the reshuffle in his inner circle to his improved displays on the field. By stepping back from external noise and online pressure, Yamal appears to be concentrating fully on his development as a footballer.
This strategy reflects a broader decision by the Spanish teenager to limit his public exposure in order to mature in an environment as demanding as Barcelona. At the same time, it highlights the intense expectations surrounding him, as Yamal is no longer viewed simply as a promising talent but as one of the game’s emerging stars under constant scrutiny at both club and international level.
