Beltran Mvuka: Norwegian left winger linked with surprise move to Lysekloster IL

Beltran Mvuka has completed a move from Sotra to Lysekloster IL in a free transfer, strengthening the PostNord-ligaen Avd. 1 side’s attacking options on the left flank. The 27-year-old winger arrives with a current market valuation of €100k and joins Lysekloster IL on a deal that starts on 2026-02-04 and runs until 2026-12-31.

The switch keeps Mvuka in the same division, as both Sotra and Lysekloster compete in Norway’s PostNord-ligaen Avd. 1, but represents a fresh chapter for a player whose career has been defined by steady progression through the Norwegian system. Although the move involves no transfer fee, Lysekloster IL gain an experienced attacker who has operated primarily as a left winger but is comfortable across the front line and is known for cutting inside onto his stronger right foot.

Born on 04 Oct 1998, Mvuka holds dual Burundian and Norwegian nationality, adding an international dimension to Lysekloster’s squad profile. Standing at 1.73 m, he has built his game around mobility, direct dribbling and work rate rather than physical presence. His journey has taken him from Åsane’s youth ranks, through Åsane Fotball II and Tertnes IL, into senior football with Åsane Fotball before a spell abroad at Académica de Coimbra U23 in Portugal. That stint gave him early experience outside Norway before he returned to become a free agent in 2020.

From there, Mvuka signed for Sotra in 2021, left briefly for Sandefjord Fotball in early 2024, and then experienced a short period without a club again in mid-2025. He rejoined Sotra later that year before this latest move to Lysekloster IL. Across those years, he has remained on the radar in Norway’s lower divisions, with his market value peaking at around €150k before stabilising at €100k in recent assessments.

His recent club path underlines the possibility that Mvuka could again find himself a free agent in the future, depending on how his contract situation evolves beyond the current term, which is set to end on 2026-12-31. For now, however, Lysekloster secure his services on a permanent basis and will look to benefit from his experience in both Norwegian and Portuguese football.

Mvuka’s move also reinforces his status as a player operating outside his country of birth context. Despite his Burundian roots, he continues to build his career in Norway’s PostNord-ligaen Avd. 1 rather than in Burundian domestic football, underlining how firmly he is embedded in the Scandinavian game. Having already represented clubs such as Åsane Fotball and Sandefjord Fotball, and spent time in Portugal with Académica de Coimbra’s U23 side, the winger now faces another opportunity to re-establish himself as a key figure at this level.

With Lysekloster IL gaining a versatile, right-footed left winger at no cost and Mvuka entering what should be the prime years of his career, this confirmed transfer has the potential to reshape his trajectory. A strong season could not only improve his market value from the current €100k mark but also reopen doors to higher tiers or another move abroad once his current deal expires on 2026-12-31.
