Teenage midfielder Renato Nhaga is being linked with a move from Casa Pia to Turkish giants Galatasaray, with the Liga Portugal prospect attracting attention despite uncertainty over how advanced talks are.
Reports in Türkiye and Portugal suggest Galatasaray are monitoring the 18-year-old central midfielder, who is currently valued at around €1.00m. The probability of the move remains unclear, with the latest indication listed as “?” in transfer reports, underlining that negotiations, if any, are still at an early and speculative stage.
Nhaga is contracted to Casa Pia, but publicly available data does not specify the length or expiry of his current deal, leaving open the possibility he could become a free agent in the future if no extension is agreed. That ambiguity is thought to be one factor encouraging interest from abroad, with Galatasaray reportedly among the clubs assessing his situation.
Born on 27 March 2007 in Bissau, Nhaga represents both Guinea-Bissau and Portugal at nationality level and has risen quickly through Casa Pia’s ranks. He moved from Casa Pia AC U17 to the U19 side in the 2024–25 season before stepping up to the senior Casa Pia AC squad ahead of the 2025–26 campaign, remaining within the same Lisbon-based club structure throughout his development.
A right-footed central midfielder standing at 1.72m, Nhaga is listed with shirt number 74 at Casa Pia and has already seen his market value climb sharply, jumping from €100,000 at U19 level in May 2025 to €1.00m with the first team by September of the same year, a figure that was maintained in December 2025. He currently plays in Liga Portugal, while Galatasaray compete in the Süper Lig.
If a move to Istanbul does eventually materialise, it would mark the first transfer of his senior career and could represent a pivotal step, offering Nhaga a larger stage on which to develop his potential and shape his emerging reputation in European football.
