Sofian Valla has completed a move from FC Dinard to Aviron Bayonnais on a free transfer, signing a contract that begins on 2026-02-02 and runs until null. The 31-year-old centre-forward joins Bayonne after a short spell with Dinard and is registered for competition in National 2 – Group A.
The deal is confirmed as a standard free transfer, with no fee changing hands between the French clubs. Valla arrives at Bayonne with no listed current market value, having most recently represented Dinard in the French lower leagues. His switch keeps him in France but places him with a club competing in the National 2 – Group A structure.
Valla, a right-footed attacker who plays primarily as a centre-forward, holds dual nationality with France and Algeria. Born in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges and standing at 1.78m, he has spent his entire senior career in the French system. The move to Bayonne continues that trajectory while offering him a new environment within the same national pyramid.
The forward’s career path reflects a steady progression through various French clubs. After emerging from the youth ranks at FC Girondins Bordeaux U19, he stepped up to FC Girondins Bordeaux B, then joined Stade Bordelais. Subsequent moves took him to Football Club Fleury 91 and Bergerac Périgord FC, followed by a spell at Tours FC. From there, he signed for US Saint-Malo before switching to Dinan Léhon FC, then Dinard, and now Bayonne.
In recent seasons Valla has operated consistently in the attacking line across these regional and national levels, gaining experience in competitive French football. His transfer history shows almost exclusively summer moves between clubs, making this mid-season switch to Bayonne a notable change in timing within his career pattern.
At Bayonne, Valla is expected to add depth and experience to the front line for a club competing in National 2 – Group A. His background across multiple French sides, including time at historically recognised names such as Bordeaux’s reserve setup and Tours, provides Aviron Bayonnais with a forward familiar with the demands of the national amateur and semi-professional tiers.
With his contract now active from 2026-02-02, the dual-national France/Algeria striker begins the next chapter of a well-travelled domestic career, aiming to translate his experience from Dinard and previous clubs into goals and attacking influence for Bayonne in the National 2 – Group A campaign.
