Amiens SC have completed the loan signing of centre-forward Samuel Ntamack from SD Huesca, securing the 24-year-old until 2026-06-30. The deal, officially registered as a loan transfer, begins on 2026-02-02 and will see the French-Cameroonian attacker return to Ligue 2 for the second half of the 2025-26 campaign.
Ntamack joins Amiens from LaLiga2 side SD Huesca, where he was under contract with a market value listed at €500k. The agreement includes a fixed loan period, after which the striker is scheduled to return to the Spanish club. That planned return on 2026-06-30 also raises the possibility of future movement in his career path beyond the end of the loan.
The move marks another step in a steadily upward trajectory for the Montreuil-born forward, who operates primarily as a centre-forward and prefers his right foot. Having left FC Annecy for SD Huesca earlier in the 25/26 season on a standard transfer, Ntamack now switches back to France, trading Spain’s second tier for the competitive environment of Ligue 2 with Amiens. His international profile is underlined by dual nationality, holding both French and Cameroonian ties.
Ntamack’s route to this latest move has been gradual but consistent. He progressed through the youth and reserve structure at EA Guingamp, moving from the U19s to Guingamp B before stepping into senior football with SO Romorantin. A transfer to FC Annecy in early 2023 placed him on the radar at professional level, and a loan spell at Belgian side KSC Lokeren during the 24/25 season added experience abroad before his return to Annecy and subsequent sale to SD Huesca.
His market value has tracked his rise. At Annecy in 2023 he was valued at €150k, rising to €600k in early 2024 before stabilising around €500k. Subsequent updates at Lokeren and then Huesca maintained that €500k level, reflecting a player perceived as a solid asset rather than an untested prospect. Amiens, currently competing in Ligue 2, now add a forward with experience in France, Belgium and Spain, and with proven adaptability across different leagues.
For Amiens, the loan addresses the need for additional attacking depth while limiting financial risk, as no permanent transfer fee is recorded in the data for this move. For Huesca, the arrangement ensures their player receives regular minutes in a familiar league while retaining his registration and potential resale value.
Ntamack’s immediate focus will be to translate his prior development at Annecy and Lokeren into consistent performances in Amiens colours. With a defined loan end date of 2026-06-30, the coming months will be crucial in shaping his next step, whether that means returning to Spain as a more established striker, attracting permanent interest in France, or opening the door to new opportunities as his contract situations evolve.
