Major League Soccer side St. Louis City have completed the signing of Senegalese teenager Mamadou Mbacke Fall.

Confirming the acquisition of the youngster, the club said he has inked a deal until June 2028.

“St. Louis City have signed 23-year-old Senegalese centre-back Mamadou Mbacke Fall on a permanent deal from Spanish and global football giants FC Barcelona. The club have signed a contract until June 30, 2028, with options for the 2028-2029 and 2029-2030 seasons.

“Fall will take an international squad place, subject to a successful medical examination and receipt of his P-1 visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC),” the MLS club said in an official statement.

Commenting on the new arrival, club Sporting Director Corey Wray praised the qualities of Fall.

“When we were looking for ways to strengthen our defense, Mamadou stood out, and we believe he meets some of our immediate needs. He’s good on the ball, has a good understanding of the game, and combines agility with strong forward defending. His experience in high-performance cultures in both MLS and Europe will bring stability to our defense,” he said.

Fall is delighted with his switch and hopes to help his new club achieve success during his time with the side.
