Olympique de Marseille have secured the future of one of their most promising young players, with striker Tadjidine Mmadi signing a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2029.
The Ligue 1 side confirmed on Monday that the 18-year-old, who came through the club’s youth system after joining in 2021, has agreed new terms following his recent emergence at first-team level.
The announcement underlines Marseille’s intention to continue building around talent developed internally.
Mmadi marked a significant milestone earlier this season when he scored his first goal for the senior side in the Coupe de France, a breakthrough moment that helped accelerate discussions over his future.

“Today, I’m extending my contract with Olympique de Marseille. Honestly, I’m very proud, and why not score my first goal at the Stade Vélodrome?” said Mmadi.
The teenager has already gained valuable experience despite his young age, making two substitute appearances in Ligue 1 and featuring once in the Champions League.
Those opportunities, though limited, have placed him on the radar of supporters eager to see more academy graduates establish themselves in the first team.
Reflecting on his journey, Mmadi emphasised the significance of the extension as recognition of his development within the club.
“I’m very happy to continue the adventure with Olympique de Marseille for another year. I’ve worked hard for this, and it rewards all my years at the club. (…) It proves that the club is counting on me. It’s up to me to be grateful and repay that trust,” he added.
