AS Monaco forward Oumar Konate has joined Stade Lavallois on loan, with the 19-year-old Ivorian set to continue his development in Ligue 2.

The temporary move was officially confirmed by the Principality club and represents the next stage in the young striker’s progression. He will now gain experience of senior professional football in a league known for its intensity.

Konate joined the AS Monaco academy in the summer of 2025 and remains under contract with the club until June 2030. His loan to Laval is intended to help him take another step forward while adapting to the demands of the professional game.

The forward has already attracted attention through his performances for Monaco’s Groupe Elite. He featured in several European youth competitions, including the Premier League International Cup and the Youth League.

During those campaigns, Konate played in victories against Bodø/Glimt, Pafos and Galatasaray. Those appearances helped underline his potential and increased interest in his progress.

According to exclusive information from Africafoot, Neom SC had also been monitoring the player several months ago.

Konate was included in the AS Monaco first-team squad during pre-season but will now look to establish himself with Stade Lavallois. His market value is estimated at 500,000 euros by Transfermarkt.

The loan gives him the opportunity to build on his early experience, demonstrate his ability in Ligue 2 and justify the expectations surrounding him at the start of his career.

AS Monaco are due to play FC Lorient in the seventh round of the French championship very soon. The published 1xbet odds list an AS Monaco victory at 2.06, a draw at 3.50 and an FC Lorient win at 3.40.
