Former Nigeria international Victor Moses has signed for FC Kaysar Kyzylorda, extending his playing career with a move to Kazakhstan’s top division on a one-year contract.
The 35-year-old winger joins the club as a free agent following the expiry of his deal with Luton Town in England’s League One.
FC Kaysar confirmed that Moses will wear the number 11 shirt as he begins a new chapter in an extensive professional career that has spanned several major European leagues.
Moses arrives in Kazakhstan after a period without a club, having left Luton at the end of last season.
His move marks his first experience of football in the country and adds another destination to a career that has taken him across England, Italy, Turkey and Russia.
The winger was developed in England and rose to prominence at the highest level of European football, enjoying his most successful spell with Chelsea.
During his time at Stamford Bridge, Moses played an important role in one of the club’s most dominant domestic campaigns.
He was a key part of the Chelsea side that won the Premier League title in the 2016-17 season under head coach Antonio Conte, operating prominently as a wing-back.
Moses also lifted the FA Cup and the Europa League during his time with the London club, contributing to a period of sustained success.
Beyond Chelsea, his club career included spells with several high-profile sides. Moses featured for Liverpool earlier in his career and later represented Inter Milan in Italy.
He also played in Turkey with Fenerbahçe and in Russia with Spartak Moscow, adding further international experience to his résumé.
At international level, Moses earned recognition as part of Nigeria’s national team, winning the Africa Cup of Nations in 2013.
His performances during that tournament cemented his status as one of the country’s leading players of his generation.
FC Kaysar Kyzylorda view the signing as a significant boost to their squad, bringing in a player with experience at elite European level and on the international stage.
Moses’ arrival adds leadership and depth to the team as they look to benefit from his knowledge and versatility.
For Moses, the move represents an opportunity to continue competing at professional level and to apply his experience in a new footballing environment, as his career enters its later stages.
