Al Ahly has confirmed that Youssef Belamri will not be included in the squad for their upcoming CAF Champions League group-stage fixture against Young Africans.
The Egyptian giants are currently preparing for a crucial third-round match in Group C, a highly anticipated encounter that has attracted significant attention from football fans across the continent.
Al Ahly will host Young Africans on Friday, January 23, at Borg El Arab Stadium.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 6:00 pm Cairo time, with the venue expected to welcome up to 30,000 spectators.
The two sides are level on four points at the top of the group standings, with Al Ahly holding first place on goal difference.
Young Africans sit in second, while Moroccan outfit Raja Casablanca and Algerian side JS Kabylie are tied on one point each in third and fourth positions respectively.
Al Ahly began their group-stage campaign with a victory over JS Kabylie before securing a 1-1 draw away to FAR Rabat in Morocco.
