Kaizer Chiefs continue winning run as Orlando Pirates and Siwelele FC claim victories

Kaizer Chiefs extended their winning run in the DStv Diski Challenge with a 5-1 victory over Durban City on Saturday morning.

Vela Khumalo’s side established a commanding three-goal advantage before half-time, with Neo Bohloko scoring twice and Emile Dortley also finding the net.

Steven Mendes and Tladi Mtshare completed the scoring for Chiefs as they recorded another emphatic result.

Pirates edge past Golden Arrows

Defending champions Orlando Pirates secured their second victory of the campaign by beating Golden Arrows 1-0.

The Buccaneers were looking for a response after being held to a 1-1 draw by Kruger United last weekend. Golden Arrows had gone into the match after edging Richards Bay in the KwaZulu-Natal fixture.

Roscoe Kreiling’s team now have two wins from their opening five matches.

TS Galaxy recover from defeat

TS Galaxy responded to last week’s loss with a 1-0 victory away to Kruger United.

The Rockets scored the only goal in the second half, leaving the KwaZulu-Natal side without a win in their second successive game.

Siwelele return to winning ways

Siwelele FC ended a difficult run by defeating AmaZulu FC 1-0 at the Princes Magogo Stadium.

Lucky Muthewi scored the only goal of the match in the first half to give the visitors all three points.
