Senegalese international Krépin Diatta is seeking to continue his career in one of Europe’s top five leagues as his contract with AS Monaco enters its final months.
The 26-year-old midfielder has been linked with several clubs in Greece and Turkey, including Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş, Trabzonspor, PAOK, and Panathinaikos.
However, sources close to the player say Diatta is determined to stay at the highest level following a standout performance at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where he played a key role in Senegal’s title-winning campaign.
Diatta has seen limited playing time at Monaco this season, making a summer departure increasingly likely if his contract is not renewed.
“If Diatta leaves, it would be better if he stayed in Europe,” commented former Burkina Faso international Alain Traoré, highlighting the importance of maintaining top-level competition for his development.
While interest has been reported from RC Lens and several Saudi Arabian clubs, Diatta is reportedly prioritising opportunities in the top five European leagues to showcase his talents on a bigger stage.
With a Transfermarkt valuation of €6 million and the prospect of becoming a free agent this summer, the Senegalese midfielder is expected to attract multiple offers, even if no official approaches have been made so far.
AS Monaco are preparing for their 19th Ligue 1 fixture against Le Havre AC, a match that comes as Diatta’s future remains uncertain.
