Burkinabe midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki could be on his way out of Wydad Athletic Club during the current winter transfer window, according to a close source.
The Red team has reportedly received a formal offer from Libyan side Al-Ittihad Tripoli, valued at $400,000, to buy out the remainder of Aziz Ki’s contract, which runs until the summer of 2027.
Wydad’s management is reportedly giving the proposal serious consideration. The club is evaluating the offer in line with its sporting and financial strategy, taking into account the player’s performance, the balance of the squad, and the potential for reshaping the midfield ahead of upcoming competitions.
Aziz Ki joined Wydad in the summer of 2025, bringing with him a wealth of international and European experience. His career began in Spain with San Roque de Lepe, followed by stints in Cyprus with Omonia Nicosia, Aris Limassol, and Nea Salamina, experiences that honed his technical abilities and exposed him to European football at various levels.
He later returned to Africa, representing Ivorian clubs AFAD JEKANOU and ASEC Mimosas before joining Tanzanian side Young Africans. There, he became a standout midfielder, helping the team achieve notable results domestically and continentally, while establishing himself as a key leader on the field.
Al-Ittihad Tripoli is reportedly seeking a player capable of immediately influencing games, controlling tempo, and bringing experience and leadership.
While no official agreement has yet been reached, negotiations are ongoing, and Wydad may make a final decision soon, potentially reshaping their midfield lineup in the coming days.
