The Moroccan Football Federation has approved significant financial bonuses for the national team should the Atlas Lions win the 2025 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations final against Senegal on Sunday.
According to sources close to the squad, each Moroccan player stands to earn more than $300,000 if the team lifts the trophy at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, with the overall reward package potentially rising to around $500,000 per player when additional incentives are included.
The bonuses are being offered by the Moroccan Football Federation, continuing a reward structure similar to that used during Morocco’s historic run to the semi-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Focus remains firmly on the title
Despite the scale of the proposed rewards, sources insist the players’ priority remains sporting rather than financial.
“The group is focused on making history,” one source told local media. “The objective is to win a second Africa Cup of Nations title for Morocco, not to think about bonuses.”
Morocco are bidding for their first continental crown since 1976, having reached the final after defeating Nigeria on penalties in Wednesday’s semi-final. Senegal booked their place by edging Egypt 1–0 in Tangier.
Tickets sold out as demand surges
Public interest in Sunday’s final has reached unprecedented levels, with tickets selling out rapidly across official platforms.
Authorities have also stepped up measures to combat ticket touting, with strict monitoring in place and several cases of black-market resale reportedly leading to prosecutions.
The final between Morocco and Senegal will kick off on Sunday evening in Rabat, with the hosts aiming to crown a landmark tournament on home soil.
