The first semi-final encounter of the tournament has ended in Tangier. A stunning strike from Sadio Mane dashed the hopes of Egypt, giving Senegal a 1-0 victory to book a place in the final.
Morocco and Nigeria, aware of the result before kick-off, will want to put up their best performance to advance into the final for a chance to claim the title.

2′ Nigeria must tread cautiously at the back.
3′ Ismael Saibari capitalised on a defensive mistake and tries his luck from inside the box. His effort on goal is blocked by a defender.
5′ A good start to the second semi-final match of the tournament. Unlike the Senegal vs Egypt match, this game is more open with a lot of attacking play. Great start to the game.
9′ So close!!! Brahim Diaz finds himself with a great opportunity! He unleashes a shot from the edge of the box, which whizzes just wide of the left post! That was so close. Unlucky for the Moroccans.
12′ Nigeria is gradually growing into the match. Lookman creates space for himself from the edge of the box, he unleashes a good shot, but it is saved by Nonou.
15′ Nigeria 0-0 Morocco.
20′ Daniel Nii Ayi Laryea blows his whistle for a foul after Bruno Onyemaechi (Nigeria) hacks down one of his opponents. Morocco win a free kick.
21′ The ball goes out of play and Nigeria will have a goal kick. Ismael Saibari (Morocco) leaps highest in the middle of the box to meet a lofted ball and powers a header at a goal, but unfortunately for him it flies just over the bar.
24′ Morocco keep possession of the ball by producing short passes and one-two passes from player to player.
27′ Victor Osimhen (Nigeria) is unable to control an accurate defence-splitting pass properly and one of the defending players reacts well to rob him of the ball.
28′ Achraf Hakimi plays a short lofted pass to Brahim Diaz (Morocco), whose header from the centre of the box drifts well past the left post. The ball is off of the pitch and it’s a goal kick for Nigeria.
30′ Nigeria 0-0 Morocco.
31′ Yellow card. Calvin Bassey (Nigeria) goes into the book for a bad tackle on his opponent. He will miss the next match.
35′ Achraf Hakimi (Morocco) failed to convert a mid-range free kick and sends the ball narrowly over the bar.
39′ What an amazing save by Stanley Nwabali! Noussair Mazraoui (Morocco) swirls around the defenders and attempts to beat the keeper with a close-range shot towards the left side of the target, but fails.
40′ We are into the last five minutes of the first half.
44′ Akor Adams (Nigeria) fails to pick a body out in the box with an over-hit cross to the back post. It’s a throw-in for Morocco.
45′ We will do just a minute of added time.
45+1′ Halftime in Rabat. Nigeria 0-0 Morocco.
Second Half:
46′ We are back underway in the second semi-final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
49′ Akor Adams (Nigeria) makes an unfair challenge by holding his opponent to prevent him from getting the ball.
52′ Abde Ezzalzouli (Morocco) receives a precise low pass inside the box, controls the ball and releases it towards the right post. Unfortunately for him, Stanley Nwabali makes a great save to stop his effort.
62′ Victor Osimhen (Nigeria) finds himself in a promising position after receiving a beautiful cross from the side, but the opposition defence is ready and one of the defenders averts the threat with a quick interception. The ball is off of the pitch and it’s a goal kick for Morocco.
69′ Bruno Onyemaechi (Nigeria) sends over a cross, but he can’t find any teammate inside the box. Poor delivery. The ball goes out of play and Morocco will have a goal kick.
71′ Another attempt to send the ball beyond the defence by Ismael Saibari (Morocco) is thwarted and cleared to safety.
76′ Achraf Hakimi (Morocco) takes the corner but only sends it into a huddle of the defenders and one of them makes a good clearance.
80′ We are into the last 10 minutes of the match. Will we see a winner before full-time?
83′ Abde Ezzalzouli (Morocco) takes a brilliant touch after he latches on to a pass on the edge of the box and strikes the ball to the bottom right corner. The goalkeeper dives low and saves his attempt.
90′ Nigeria 0-0 Morocco. We will do three minutes of added time.
90+3′ The referee has blown his whistle for full-time. We will play extra time and possibly penalties to separate the two sides.
Extra Time:
91′ Referee Daniel Nii Ayi Laryea has whistled to signal the start of the first period of extra time.
93′ Nigeria have started the extra time very well. But still, they lack bodies upfront to cause real damage.
96′ It looks like fatigue has set into both teams.
97′ Hamza Igamane (Morocco) beats a defender on the edge of the box then bends in an effort at goal, but his radar is way off and the ball sails well wide of the right post.
100′ That didn’t go as planned! Hamza Igamane (Morocco) tried his luck from the edge of the box, but his effort low towards the middle of the goal was too weak to get past Stanley Nwabali, who easily kept it out.
